Dream Theatre

Appears as an amphitheatre island
Lethe flows around and pours out into void background. Kinda like chaos. After clearing each chamber the scenery changes.
The enemies are oneiro, once you beat them they vanish and drop the mask. Morpheus is the big boss, they just get really into their roles.
Ancient greek theatre tidbits: The orchestra is where the chorus dances and sings, paved if fancy, up to 60ft, thymele or alter in the center. Skene is the backdrop of the stage, has at least one set of doors and roof access. The actors are hypokrites. There are parados that are aisles between the orchestra and the seats.
somethings about PTSD dreams being remembered too much and causing more harm than good?

Deep Sleep

Flooded by the Lethe
Enemies: jumping fish, big bugs, frog, crab, heron, fish and/or crustaceans.
Mini bosses: giant enemy crab, alligator.
drowned souls??
Boss Battle is Hesychia, who refuses to let Epiales pass until he proves that he is competent enough to protect himself.

Light Sleep

Surroundings are absurdism architecture. Enemies are warped objects, Dali style melted looking things. Boss fight is Phantasos, who is feeling neglected and lashing out, character growth happens. It keeps fighting Epiales as a sibling bonding thing post-story.
there's a prop hunt minigame.

Hypnogogia

Enemies are sleep paralysis demons.
outdoors, track down demons, chase them through a series of rooms.
Final fight is in bedroom, kill without waking the person up for an extra bonus
tells stories through environmental clues/one voiceline once the demon is gone.
each lil stage gets lighter and lighter outside, you meet Rosy-Fingered Dawn maybe?
Final chamber is a hypnogogic version of the temple of hypnos. Final boss is Mnemosyne? goddess of memories?? angy about dreams being forgotten???? somethings about PTSD dreams being remembered too much and causing more harm than good?
